We bought 3 of the "Acer Aspire 5315" laptops, 2 for my teenage kids and one for my mother. Here are my observations: * My kids love the laptop and have no problem using the mouse touch pad, but my mother can not seem to figure it out (we ended up buying everyone Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 Mac/Win USB). * The mouse touch pad allows the pointer to drift and jump around on the screen. This seems to be random, but can be annoying (another reason to use an external mouse). * The screen is VERY clear * The DVD player is very good and easy for even my mother to use * The battery life is about 2 hours (long enough for most movies) * Wi-Fi is very stable * It is HEAVY! Not for power users, but recommended for students and casual users.
