Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism
I am an IT Professional and needed an easy to use KVM switch for a client. For those who don't know what that means, K (Keyboard) V (Video/Monitor) M (Mouse) switches allow you to control 2 or more computers/devices WITHOUT having to have multiple Keyboards, Monitors (Video) or Mice.I have a security DVR and 2 servers attached to this IOGear KVM and all 3 work perfectly. I was pleased to find a USB based (for Keyboard and Mouse) device that came as a complete kit - everything you need is actually attached to the switch. The way you switch with this device is a button (on its own very thin cable) which I tie-wrapped to the switch for ease of use. The button's cable is long enough that I could have tie-wrapped it to the rack if I wanted to.If you needed more length you could use extension cables for the 15 pin VGA cable(s) and USB extension cables. I did NOT need any extensions. From here on out I'll stick with this IOGear KVM Switch.
