Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism
I recently upgraded my router from TP LINK AC2600 to the new TP LINK TALON AD7200. Previously I had issues with weak signal in the downstairs living room (router is in my upstairs office, furthest from the living room) and the AD7200 increased my signal and range to full bar on the 2.4ghz channel. Although I had some minor buffering issues still in my streaming device, the AD7200 was still better than the AC2600. I compared the signal and range on the 5ghz channel, as well. Although it gave me only 2-3 bars in the 5ghz channel, it provided faster streaming with no buffering. I've tried wireless network extenders in the past with no success. This router finally provided the streaming capability in my downstairs box as I had hoped for. Unfortunately I don't have any devices that will connect to the 60ghz channel right now so I can not comment it at this time. To my understanding, the 60ghz will have a shorter range but will provide the fastest speed in the market. I'm confident that I will be using this router for at least a few years. Great router, TP LINK!
